can anyone tell me why i cant play 720p movies on my PC this problem has occured just recently before i could play them fine...
my pc is a bit old P4 512mb RAM 80gb hard disk space also i can play movie till 480p resolution nd dvdrips but movies of higher resolution don't play properly their audio lags behind
plzz help!!!

Are you using a CRT monitor? I guess it's the problem.
also I use more reference frames than usual, it increases quality, but all gadgets wouldn't play fine :(
And yeah, VLC plays fine.

only dual core and later processor can run 720p or higher resolution videos.and u already said that u have p4 so..... i guess u understood what im saying
